Chris Malinowski has worked with our racing school for about a year now, his quiet hard work, sweet disposition and sneaky sense of humor have quickly made him one of our more popular employees. Chris, or Moli as we all refer to him worked two 11 hour days Saturday October 22nd and Sunday October 23rd. He’s been feeling a poorly lately, yet he worked hard in the heat all weekend with his usual dedication and determination.

Moli went back to the hospital Monday still feeling under the weather. He was admitted to the hospital, diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and sent to ICU. Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is cancer that starts inside bone marrow, the soft tissue inside bones that helps form blood cells. The cancer grows from cells that would normally turn into white blood cells. Acute means the disease develops quickly.

Immediately, he let everyone know that he was going to fight and beat this.

Well, it’s now our turn to help in that fight and to make sure that we do all we can to help him and others succeed in that fight. You will notice that all of our cars now carry a ribbon in honor of Moli by the driver’s door. We’ve decided to help him and others fight leukemia and in honor of his attitude you will notice that there’s one side of the ribbon with his name. The other side has the slogan that we will be using to help fight Leukemia. That slogan is Horsepower & Willpower. We plan to put Moli’s Willpower to work with our Horsepower and raise $100,000 in the next year to help put an end to this disease.

We need your help. We are selling the Moli Horsepower and Willpower ribbons for $15.00 at the track. All proceeds will be donated to fight Leukemia. If you have a friend or loved one fighting Leukemia or Cancer and you’d like a customized ribbon we are offering those for $25.00 and we will be happy to ship them to you. Finally, you can purchase a Moli ribbon or customize a ribbon and have us carry it on our racecar for the year for you for $150.00.
